PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING AND PROTECTION POLICY

According to Article 20, paragraph 3 of the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, “Everyone has the right to request the protection of personal data concerning him or her. This right includes being informed about personal data, having access to such data, requesting their correction or deletion, and learning whether they are used in line with their intended purposes. Personal data may be processed only in cases stipulated by law or with the explicit consent of the individual.”

The right to personal data protection is also recognized as a fundamental human right under Article 8 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and Article 16 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

The Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), Article 4, lists the fundamental principles that must be followed when processing personal data. These principles are strictly observed and applied by TEYMUR TEKSTİL SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. (the Company) in all personal data processing activities.

Fundamental principles followed by the Company in personal data processing:

Processing in accordance with the law and the principle of good faith,
Ensuring accuracy and keeping data up to date,
Processing for specific, clear, and legitimate purposes,
Processing that is relevant, limited, and proportionate to the purpose,
Retention for the period stipulated in relevant legislation or required for the purpose of processing.

INTRODUCTION

The Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 was published in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2016, with the aim of protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, particularly the privacy of private life, and regulating the obligations of natural and legal persons who process personal data.

Purpose

This policy has been prepared by TEYMUR TEKSTİL SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. to ensure that personal data processed during the Company’s activities are handled in compliance with the law, and to safeguard the privacy of private life as well as other fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution.

Scope

This policy applies to all natural persons whose personal data are processed directly or indirectly due to the activities of the Company.

DEFINITIONS

Company: TEYMUR TEKSTİL SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş.
Explicit Consent: Consent related to a specific matter, based on information and declared with free will.
Cookie: Small text files stored on users’ devices to remember preferences.
Relevant User: Persons responsible for processing data.
Contact Person: The person designated to communicate with the Authority under KVKK.
Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Data Controller: The natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
Special Categories of Personal Data: Sensitive data such as health, religion, biometric and genetic data.

RESPONSIBILITY

All units and employees of the Company are obliged to implement technical and administrative measures taken under KVKK and ensure data security.

Camera recordings,
Cookies on websites and mobile apps,
Phone calls.

LEGAL GROUNDS

Explicit consent,
Cases stipulated by law,
Contract establishment or execution,
Legal obligations,
Legitimate interests,
Establishment, use, or protection of a right.

TRANSFER OF DATA

Domestic transfers: Public institutions, judicial authorities, business partners, suppliers.
International transfers: E-mail providers, overseas events/organizations.
Transfers are made strictly in compliance with KVKK.

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS (Article 11 of KVKK)

To learn whether personal data are processed,

To learn the purpose of processing and whether they are used accordingly,
To request correction if processed inaccurately,
To request deletion or destruction,
To learn about third parties to whom the data have been transferred,
To claim compensation in case of damage due to unlawful processing.

TEYMUR TEKSTİL SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. undertakes to fully comply with KVKK, to take all necessary technical and administrative measures for the processing and protection of personal data, and to inform data subjects transparently.
