Zoo
Gaziantep Zoo is one of the largest zoos in Turkey and the Middle East, and one of the largest in Europe. Opened in 2001, the zoo is situated on a sprawling 1,000-acre site. It houses over 7,000 animals from over 300 species.
The zoo houses many exotic species, including lions, tigers, elephants, and giraffes, as well as birds, reptiles, and aquatic animals. It also features a Safari Park, an Aquarium, a Bird House, a Crocodile House, and a special children's Pony Farm. Its modern living spaces ensure the animals are kept as close to their natural habitats as possible.
Gaziantep Zoo is a fun and educational destination for both children and adults, and is one of the city's major tourist attractions.
